REPLUG • IGNITE! MUSIC FESTIVAL 2013

School is out for the the first semester of academic year 2013! We hope the study break has found you guys well. UT's over. Quit asking your classmates what answer they gave for that particular question, we're sure everything's going to be alright. Always remember, confidence is timeless and sexy.

Now for some fun!

As if you didn't already know, Ignite! Music Festival was staged in RP some weekends ago on August 23rd and 24th (Click here for trailer). Replug had the chance to share the stage with the likes of crowd-favourites - Caracal, A Vacant Affair, We the Thousands, The Sam Willows, Youthwreck and a heck lot more. An event you ought to regret if you have missed!

Two bands from the senior batch sure had crammed their (already) tight schedules to put together fresh and replugified arrangements of 4 songs, 2 of which you should be familiar with. The first band (consisting of 4 vocalists - Joey, Marissa, Farah, Khadijah - , Zaim as the bassist, Deon on drums and Jabez & Wei Ching on guitars) gave a harmonious spin to a current hit by Imagine Dragons, Radioactive as well as Yellowcard's Only One.
And of course, we were sure we couldn't go wrong with the second band's set, consisting of Danial and Natasha (vocalists), Shafiq (beatbox), Hafidz and Chung (guitar), Shafeeq (drums) as well as Zaim (superman bassist). Evidently a crowd-pleaser since RP Jam and Hop earlier this year (see video1 / video2), we knew it had to be done again with a quirky twist you might have noticed if you had caught the entire of Replug opening for the second day of the festival.
